Teaching Mathematics: Retrospective and Perspectives 2018

Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science of Kaunas University of Technology presents the 19th International Baltic Conference “Teaching Mathematics: Retrospective and Perspectives 2018”. The conference is an international event focused on the research and activities related to mathematical education. The event brings together the best specialists from Baltic states and other countries to share their experience.

 

About the conference

The conference ”Teaching Mathematics: Retrospective and Perspectives 2018” is an international event aiming at reporting and discussing significant recent research and activities related to mathematical education.
It covers such topics as teaching and learning mathematics at school and university, mathematics teacher education and teachers’ professional development, information and and communication technologies in mathematics education, history of mathematics education, etc.
After very successful previous events, the conference will bring together leaders from Baltic states and other countries to exchange their experiences, reveal research results and present new ideas.

The regular participation fee is 100 EUR
Participation fee for students is 50 EUR
Participation fee for accompanying person 80 EUR

The participation fee includes following conference package:

• attendance to the scientific sessions
• a copy of the abstracts
• coffee breaks, lunch

Cancellations received before May 12 will receive a 50% refund. If cancelled later than May 12, no refund will be granted.

The deadline for Abstract submission is May 10, 2018.

Authors are requested to submit abstracts according to the following requirements. Abstracts will be reviewed by the programme committee.

Upon successful submission of the abstract a confirmation email will be sent to the presenting author.

An abstract can be submitted for presentation at the conference as one of the following categories:

• oral presentation
• poster presentation

The deadline for paper submission is October 1, 2018.

All papers have to be prepared according to the following requirements.

Papers satisfying the requirements will be reviewed by the editorial committee which will take the decision about the publication of selected papers in the conference proceedings.

Paper preparation guidelines:

• papers must contain original and significant research or other activity report related to mathematical education which has not been published elsewhere;

• a research paper must contain the research goals or hypotheses, the research plan and methods, results and discussion, conclusions, references;

• an activity or historical paper must contain a detailed description of the subject and conclusions;

• papers must be complete, proofread and prepared for publication.

The conference will take place at KTU Santaka Valley hall 1 and 2.
